SOUTH BAY ROD & GUN CLUB


Effective May 11, 2020 the following rules will be enforced until further notice:

1.   All ranges may be used, unless there is a scheduled event on that range by an outside activity. (Outside activities are still using the ranges, and when present stay away from them as they have the same restrictions due the Covid-19)

2.       At no time shall anyone who has any symptoms of cough, fever, flu, shortness of breath or has been in contact with a person who has tested positive for Covid-19 be allowed on property.

3.       When on a range, parking lot or waiting to check-in please maintain the 6’ social distancing. At no time should people congregate or be within 6 feet of another person.

4.       People will be required to wear a face covering that covers the nose and mouth when within 6 feet of another Individual.

5.       Matches or other social gatherings are cancelled until further notice.

6.       Groups will be limited to three or less people and must maintain the 6’ social distancing rules.

7.       Use of the RSO buildings, Restrooms etc. will be restricted to one person only at a time.

8.       Available range shooting lanes will be reduced (Effects of the 6’ social distancing)
a.       Range 1 – One person/group per shooting bench (Max 10 lanes)
b.      Range 2 – One person/group per shooting bench (Max 10 lanes)
c.       Range 3 – Every other shooting table (Max 18 lanes)
d.      Range 5 – One per shooting position – (Keep 6’ Distance)
e.       Range 6 – Every other shooting table (Max 15 lanes)

9.       Restrooms will be cleaned daily by caretaker staff
a.       Members/Guests are responsible for providing their own sanitizer/disinfectant required for             restroom usage to clean the facility’s before usage.

10.   RSO’s are responsible for cleaning the Shooting Benches or tables before and after the usage. Cleaning solution must remain on the surface for 5-8 Minutes before it will kill the virus. Cleaning solution will be available to RSO’s for cleaning in spray bottles (1/3 cup bleach to one-gallon water solution) and paper towels will be available for cleanup.

11.   When on a range, parking lot or waiting to check-in please maintain the 6’ social distancing rule. At no time should people congregate or be within 6 feet of another person.

    Saturday, Sunday, Holiday Procedures for Check in

    Check in will be accomplished at the Check in Building by the Trap range.

    • All personnel will be required to show their membership ID card so the attendant can record the   name and the number on the check-in sheet. (Check-in sheet will only be handled by the check-in person). Members/Guests will not physically sign in.
    • If you do not have a membership card, and can’t be verified as a member then a daily user fee (Adults: $30 / Children $15) will be charged. Temporary membership program is currently suspended.
    • Attendant will assign you to a range (Based on availability) and you will be given a range pass indicating which range you are to proceed to. This range pass must be presented to the RSO on the designated range and they will assign you to a shooting lane. (Retain the range pass)
    • When you have completed your shooting session, you will be required to stop at the check-out station and present that range pass back to the attendant. (This will inform the attendant that there is an open spot on a specific range so they can assign the next person/group to that spot.

    Week Days & Non-Holiday Procedures for Check in

    Check in will be accomplished at the Check in counter at Range 6.

    • Range attendant will be behind a plexiglass protection barrier which will allow the member/public  to get closer than the 6’ social barrier.
    • All personnel will be required to show their membership ID card so the attendant can record the   name and the number on the check-in sheet. (Check-in sheet will only be handled by the check-in person). Members will not physically sign in.
    • If you do not have a membership card, and can’t be verified as a member then a daily user fee (Adults: $30 / Children $15) will be charged. Temporary membership program is currently suspended.
    • Attendant will assign you to a shooting lane or issue a range pass (Based on availability) indicating which range you are to proceed to. This range pass must be presented to the RSO on the designated range and they will assign you to a shooting lane.
    • RSO’s on the non-check-in range will keep the check-in counter informed of number of personal    at the range and if there are openings (Phone system will be used)
