- Your
email confirming your intent to participate must be received no later than
Thursday evening, before the match.

- Pay
(cash) at the range at sign in.
- On the day of the match, sign in will
be open from 7:30 till 7:55 am. At 7:55
am, Sign in will close. The match brief
will commence, describing match procedures, terminology, course of fire,
scoring, safety considerations, contingencies (what if...), etc. If you show up at 8, you are late, and will
not be allowed to participate.
- When you arrive leave your gear in your car. Proceed to sign in, pay your fee, and receive
instructions on bringing your firearms onto the shooting deck. Your unloaded handgun should be holstered,
and your unloaded rifle slung as you approach the safety check in area. Once
cleared, proceed as directed.
Additional topics including, but not limited to, the following
may be included as time and need require:
- Malfunctions, Symptoms and Solutions (Type 1 & 2
(simple), 3 & 4 (complex)
- Reloading techniques
- Three secrets (sight alignment, sight picture, trigger
press)
- Zeroing your rifle
- Compensated shots at close range
The
briefing should conclude around 8:45, so that individual preparations may be
completed before the 8:55 call to the firing line. Participants will then proceed downrange,
with relay #1 in position on the 7 yard line so that shooting may commence at
around 9 am.
Shooters
will be organized into two relays, with relay #1 firing the prescribed shots at
the 7 yard line. Rifles will be unloaded,
confirmed clear and slung; Targets scored and repaired; and then relay #2 will move into position and
repeat the process. This system will
repeat at the 15, 30, 60 and 100 yard lines.
Dropped
magazines, live cartridges or other gear may be picked up upon completion of
each string of fire, after rifles are safed, cleared, and slung. When picking
up dropped items, safe muzzle direction must be maintained!
No fired
brass may be retrieved until the match has been completed and rifles have been safely
racked or cased.
All
participants will pick up fired brass, assist in removing target frames and
barricades to their storage locations, and returning the range to its standard
